NucleoSnap cfDNA
- New column design (snap-off column) for quick processing of large sample volumes
- No need for carrier-RNA
- Optimized protocol for Cell-Free DNA BCT ('Streck Tubes')
Nucleo Snap cfDNA procedure
The NucleoSnap cfDNA kit is designed for the efficient isolation of circulating free DNA from human blood plasma or urine. Fragmented DNA as small as 50–1000 bp is purified with high efficiency. The special snap-off design of the NucleoSnap cfDNA Columns allows convenient processing of up to 5 mL sample at once (or 10 mL sample, which requires extra buffer; see ordering information) along with very small final elution volumes (20–50 μL), resulting in highly concentrated DNA.

Efficient isolation of cfDNA from 5 mL human EDTA plasma
Isolation of cfDNA from EDTA plasma with the NucleoSnap cfDNA kit and a vacuum-based kit from a competitor (Competitor Q). DNA yields were quantified by qPCR (Quantifiler Human DNA Quantification Kit, ThermoFisher Scientific on a Applied Biosystems 7500 Real-Time PCR Systems, ThermoFisher Scientific).
cfDNA can be isolated from 12 EDTA preserved samples with the NucleoSnap cfDNA Kit in less than 50 min. whereas the procedure of competitor Q takes more than 80 min.
cfDNA was isolated from three independent Cell-free DNA BCT preserved samples with the NucleoSnap cfDNA kit (MN) and a vacuum-processed kit from competitor (Q). The isolated cfDNA shows the typical peak at approx. 170 bp, indicated by an arrow (->).
cfDNA was separated on a Bioanalyzer 2100 with a High Sensitivity DNA Kit (Agilent).
