The NucleoBond RS column is an anion exchange column designed for semi-automated use in environments with high regulatory standards. The closed nature of the column, combined with processing using a peristaltic pump or FPLC system, ensures reproducible results whilst minimising hands-on time. These columns are capable of isolating high purity, high integrity, vaccine-grade quality plasmid DNA, resulting in our lowest endotoxin product to date (≤ 0.025 EU/µg). Depending on the column size and sample input, yields of 10-200 mg can be achieved. To complement the versatility of the column, a range of Clean-up protocols are available for use as support protocols.

Plasmids isolated with NucleoBond RS columns show very high structural integrity
The supercoiled form of plasmid DNA is considered to be the desirable form for applications like gene therapy or vaccination. Regulatory standards specify that plasmids have to be present with more than 90 % supercoiled form. These data show that plasmids isolated with our NucleoBond RS columns meet these standards.

Technical data from plasmid isolations using our NucleoBond RS columns show endotoxin levels ≤ 0.01 EU/μg DNA, A260/A280 purity ratios between 1.8 – 2.0, and percentages of supercoiled (ccc) form ≥ 90 %.
